“Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare” (Psalm 75:1 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).
In the United States, November is the month when Thanksgiving in on our minds. It’s my favorite holiday. No gifts are required, except for the gift of thanks! This is a gift everyone can afford.
The phrase “give thanks” is recorded 35 times in the Bible.
This particular Psalm may have been composed during the time of captivity for the children of Israel and appears to be a continuation of the subject in the preceding verses of scripture.
Join with me today in offering a gift of thanks to our God of Glory! How wondrous are His works!
Prayer: Jesus, Your name is above all others! Today I give You thanks for all You have done. You have been so faithful and I want You to know that I am grateful for Your bountiful blessings!
