peaceful-praying

“When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.”  (Psalm 73:17 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)

Asaph, the Psalmist began to question God when he looked at those around him.  He almost lost faith because he tried to understand why God was letting the ungodly get away with evil.  They were doing bad things and getting rich!  The only place he could go to sort it all out was the sanctuary.

The same is true for us.  I will be the first to admit there is so much I don’t understand in life.  The older I get, the less I understand! I’m so glad I know the importance of the House of God.  I have found this is a place of peace.

We all have a tenacity to look around at others and compare.  This can and will cause you trouble.

Perhaps, so much seems unfair in your life. Before you lose faith, visit the sanctuary!  Some things just need to be placed in God’s hands.

Prayer:  Lord, I am so appreciative of the church where I can go and unload my heavy burdens.  It’s a safe place; a refuge from the world we live in.  When I don’t understand, I can trust You!
