“Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.” (Malachi 3:16 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible)
The Prophet Malachi admonished that the Lord is writing a book of remembrance of those that fear Him and talk about Him often.
In school, the first book I learned to read was Dick and Jane. I know I’m getting old, but for some reason they are not using this wonderful book to teach children any longer to read. It was so good that I can still remember their faces and Spot the dog.
Books are important especially as an historical reference. I wonder today, what’s in your book? When we are gone what kind of memories are we leaving for those left behind? Good ones I hope!
Prayer: Jesus, fill my life with good memories so the generations to come will know that I loved You and spake often about You.
