“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matthew 25:40 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)
This week I found myself fretting over a lady that I have poured myself into. It seems that all of my efforts have been futile; she continues to do her own thing. In prayer the Lord impressed me with this thought from His Word.
I now am looking at what I do for others in a new light. I knew this, but had forgotten that when I do for others I am doing it for Him. He is aware of everything little thing I do. It was a divine revelation for me!
In my red letter edition of the Bible, this scripture is written in red, so, that means it’s a direct quote from Jesus. He’s talking about doing for the obscurest, the least, the poorest, the most despised and afflicted. Those who suffer from maladies that I cannot heal only He can. His kindness to all humanity is astounding!
His reaction to what I have been doing for others is like I’ve done it to him! So, that means He takes note of all my doing for those in need and is pleased with my performance.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your Word that helps me adjust an attitude that was wrong. Forgive me for my short-sightedness. It’s all about You, Lord! I purpose to place You at the center all my actions as a remember that I want to do more for You every day that I live. Amen!
