“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

I read an interesting quote recently: “Most of the situations that entangle your mind are not today’s concerns, you have borrowed them from tomorrow.”

I am sure that most of you reading this are like me, we think of situations that are in the future, and try to figure out how they are going to turn out.  If we are not careful we can get ourselves all worked up about them and begin to worry.  In most cases, when we come to the situation, it is not nearly so bad as we thought it was going to be.

When we turn it over to the Lord, He takes the problem out of today and deposits it in the future where we cannot see it and instead we have peace in our hearts. It is not easy, and many times we find it popping up in our minds, and we must ask the Lord to take it again and again.

Prayer:  Jesus, I am so thankful for the peace that you give repeatedly, help me to always give my problems and concerns to you and leave them there.
