“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4:7-8

As I sit here at my computer this morning, I realize that we have finished another week of isolation.  For the last few days, I have been writing about the lessons that the Lord “is trying” to teach me during this period.  I hope that they have been a blessing to you as well.  I feel almost sad, realizing that this is my last post for another month.  I hope that it will not be an end to learning more from the Lord for me as well as you. I want to assure you that there will be no final exam, even an on-line one, for we have all been learning different lessons.

As we look around at the condition our world is in at this time, the Scriptures regarding Christ’s returning become more real to us.  So many things that we have only read about before are now becoming reality to us.  We have often heard preaching about a world-wide money system, and now we can see how easily that could be put into place.  Things are rapidly falling into place for God’s plan to be fulfilled, and His coming surely must be near. With all the services being streamed over the internet at this time, I am sure that this message is reaching into every nation of the world.

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:14.

I said above that I would not be giving a final exam.  BUT there is one question today that faces each one of us: “Am I ready?”  If the trumpet should sound today, can we say like Paul, that we have kept the faith?  Have we used this time to search our hearts, and make sure that there is nothing between us and the Lord?  I believe that God has allowed this period to test our faith, to strengthen our commitment to the Lord, and to give us an opportunity to make our calling and election sure.

Prayer:  Jesus, I pray for each one reading these words today.  May they know for certain that they belong to you, and that they are ready for your soon return.
