“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD” (Psalm 27:14, Holy Bible, King James Version). You’re on time for a medical appointment, but ‘Someone will be right with you,” multiplies into an hour of waiting. You’re standing in a checkout line only to have the closed sign placed on the counter before your turn. You’re stuck in traffic when all lanes but yours are inching ahead. You move to another lane and it stops moving. Life is filled with waiting times. So why the impatience with God when He asks us to wait for a response to prayers? The Psalmist says that waiting time is productive. When we wait with courage, God rewards us with strength.
Prayer: Lord, strengthen my heart while I wait for Your answer. Amen.
