“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Daniel 1:8           “If it is important to you, you’ll find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.” – Ryan Blair” When I saw this quote, I thought of the story of Daniel. “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:3-4 Tuesday did not start out particularly good.  When I woke, I thanked the Lord for the day and asked His direction.  I knew I had to finish writing my posts for next week for this Devotional site.  Then I remembered that there hadn’t been one on May 24th. It was my favorite secular job, I was so blessed to get paid for something I loved to do. Many people I assisted had Down’s Syndrome; they were incredible, loving individuals and I learned…

The pictures we take – as beautiful as they can be – are limited to the light levels and color spectrum that our cameras can process. Your eyes are capable of a much higher dynamic range than your camera lens. What we see with our eyes can never fully be captured on cards or in our phones. Thankfully, enhancements to technology are making this limitation less as time progresses. I am reminded of a time I went to a local photography…
