“But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly” (Matthew 6:6, New King James Version). Some people cannot tolerate silence. It seems…
“Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat! I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments. I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me. Will he…
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” (1 John 5:14 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).
The word confidence is used 38 times throughout the Bible and usually refers to our confidence in God. Confidence is built on what He has done for us in the past. Trust is based upon the relationship we have with God.
We’re all undeserving yet He loves us. We’re His children and He wants the best for us. Go ahead and ask Him anything! He will listen to your requests.
Prayer: Lord, I thank You for Your faithfulness! I am confident that You hear me when I come with my requests. Today I’m struggling with a situation I can’t handle, but I bring my petition to You knowing You will see me through! Amen.

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:22 Jesus told His disciples that He would answer every prayer that they prayed in faith. That same promise is for us today. But, I believe, that we must ask the Lord to direct our prayers…
“Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.” Psalm 119:66 I live in a busy city and there is always lots of traffic to contend with on our streets and highways. Every time I pull my car out of the garage, I ask the Lord to…
May I make a very bold statement? You cannot be a Christian and not pray. It simply defies logic. To be Christ-like is following and adhering to the teachings of Jesus Christ. One thing was very clear about Jesus…He prayed! He prayed at the beginning of his ministry on earth. Jesus…

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth” (Ephesians 3:14-15 in the Holy Bible, New Living Translation)
The Apostle Paul, the writer of the Book of Ephesians, wrote these words while imprisoned and perhaps even chained to a Roman guard. Despite the circumstances; the prison walls; the discomfort of iron chains and the onlooking jailer; Paul was kneeling in prayer focused on God’s overall purpose. The present trial was put in perspective in light of God’s overarching plan.
Prayer: Lord, some of the most important prayers that I will ever pray are in the middle of crisis and difficult circumstances. In the midst of trying times, it is my habit of prayer that will convey the message of my faith louder than mere words ever could. Amen.

Let me hear about your mercy in the morning, because I trust you. Let me know the way that I should go, because I long for you. (Psalm143:8, God’s Word Edition) If I could change one thing about myself, I would definitely become more of a morning person. I would give…
