“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10 This Sunday we will be celebrating International Sunday in our church, and we will have 30 different nationalities represented. It is always so amazing to see people march into the sanctuary carrying the flags of the country in…
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” Matthew 16:27 There is nothing that we can do to earn salvation. We are saved by grace. But the Bible plainly teaches us…
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the…

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.” Psalm 19:1 David wrote this verse many years ago, but for a lot of people here in our country, it was fulfilled recently (April 8) as they were able to view a total eclipse of the sun. Even though I had the special glasses, I did not go outside but did view it on TV, following the news across the country. It is amazing how God has given scientists and astronomers the ability to predict when and where these Eclipses will take place. Their predictions were perfect…
Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor. (I Peter 2:17, ESV) Although I have a social media account, mainly to keep in touch with old friends, I find much of the content does not pass the Philippians 4:8 test. Rather than honest, pure, and of a good report, postings can be disparaging and divisive. So many lack respect for others, and that is a sad thing. It also goes against biblical principles which admonish us to love and honor one another. First Peter 2:17 instructs us to “honor everyone.” Easy to say but not as easy to…
“Let brotherly love continue.” (Hebrews 13:1) Yesterday we talked about the love of God and the many ways He demonstrates that love to us. Today let’s take a few moments to talk about loving each other and how that looks in our daily life. Numerous passages in the Bible talk about love. We quickly think of I Corinthians 13 which lists its many characteristics, but Hebrews 13 may not come to mind. The chapter begins by admonishing to “let brotherly love continue.” Brotherly love is “the love which Christians cherish for each other” (Strong’s Concordance). Love provides the foundation we…
“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22 KJV) This is as it SHOULD be. It was God who, on the 4th Creative Day, made Days, and Seasons, and Years. God created this sequence, and no man can alter or stop it. Ever since Creation, we see the artistry of The Almighty, varying the light, incorporating the dark, blending hues and changing brushstrokes to make each day, season, and year unique. No two, since Creation, have ever been identically the same. Even within that…
