“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed” Psalm 37:3 David wrote so many beautiful psalms, and we can always find something there no matter what circumstances we are in. I have read this Psalm many times, but…
Psalms 20:7 “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” Oftentimes when we read scripture like the one written above, we brush it off and convince ourselves that it doesn’t apply to us. I mean, who actually owns a…
“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.” Genesis 9:13 As we begin reading the Bible through for another year, it seems no matter how often we have read these familiar stories, something new…
“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isaiah 46:4). Recently I read a perfect illustration of trust. Have you ever noticed the expression of an infant being carried on the shoulder of his mother or father? The baby’s face is a study in total relaxation and trust. While the parent sees where the two are headed, the child can see only where they have been. The infant is not worried about being at least five feet in the air because he trusts the one that is holding him. God promises to carry us for a lifetime.
Prayer: Lord, I want to trust You more. I want to continue leaning on my Father’s shoulder knowing that He knows the way to take me. I am dependent on Your care.

The Lord said to Abram, “Leave your land, and your relatives, and your father’s home. Go to the land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation, I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:1-2, GWT)…
“And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.” Luke 8:15 NLT Anyone else out there struggle with being patient? I am the person who has to take every last gift out of…
For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. (Psalm 11:7, The Message) Just when we think we have life figured out, something happens that throws us for a loop. In those moments we have a very important decision to make. We can use the situation to…
“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:4 We live in a fast-paced world, and technology is constantly coming forth with new inventions to save us time and energy. Recently a new type of pot has been made available which…
