“Who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.” (Colossians 1:14)
I am so grateful for the country that I live in. News headlines are heart breaking as you hear of story after story of war and tragedy. I am so blessed to live here with access to everything I need. Greater still is a thankfulness for my spiritual freedom.
I was bought with a price, set free from the power of sin and forgiven! I should be subject to death, but because of His sacrifice, I am totally free. No longer can the chains of sin hold me hostage, for I have Jesus Christ living inside of me.
Not only did He pay the ultimate price for us, He extended grace. When I sit and look back over my life, I truly don’t know where I would be right now except for the grace of God. He took a broken life and pieced it back together. God does not look at us and see only our mistakes, sin, and problems – He always sees what we can be! He always sees potential and destiny!
“There’s nothing too dirty
That you can’t make worthy
You wash me with mercy
I am clean”
Prayer: Lord, I am so incredibly grateful today for Your sacrifice so I can receive forgiveness. Your blood has washed me clean and created something new within me. I have hope for the future because of the work You have done in my life, and I am forever grateful for that. Amen.
