“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (II Corinthians 3:17 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible).

Do I truly value my freedom? Do I really understand what it means to be free? True freedom doesn’t mean the absence of adversity nor does it mean that I am exempt from all authority. Pure freedom is the freedom of the soul that only God can give and no man can take it away.

Prayer: Lord, You came to free us from our past mistakes and to liberate us from a life of servitude to sin so we could follow truth. Because of You, I live in freedom regardless of the prison of circumstances that may surround me.

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 in the King James Version of the Bible)

God’s compassion has no end. His desire is not to destroy you, but to restore you. We made mistakes yesterday; last week; last month; last year; but today He is inviting us to start over. He offers us new mercy every morning!

Prayer: I am overwhelmed by your loving faithfulness to me. You see me not as I am, but what You want me to become. Thank you for being patient with me!
