“….for the LORD delighteth in thee…” Isaiah 62:4 As a mother we delight in our children, we see them as being special.  We know they are not perfect, we can see all the flaws they have, but we also know their strengths and abilities.  We see the potential for great…

smile“Let brotherly love continue.” (Hebrews 13:1 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.)

I recently saw a church sign that read, “Attitudes are contagious!” How true. I would go one step further and say, “Attitudes are highly contagious!”

Observe those around you wherever you go today. We affect each other in ways we are not even aware of. A smile will cause the next person to smile. Grumbling about the produce will cause others to join in and only make matters worse.

I often told my children that their attitudes were showing. Believe you me it’s worse than having your slip hanging below your skirt! Watch the way one child reacts when another child takes his toy. The fight is on; pulling and screaming ensues.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to be quick to pass on love and peace that comes from You. Thank You for the love that exist in the church. Don’t let this love ever be interrupted but let it continue. In the midst of chaos let me breathe Your name. Amen!

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). I know all about having life completely turn your world upside down. I know the feeling of sheer terror as tragedy strikes and you are left with the remnants of…

“Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you” (II Corinthians 13:11 in the New Living Translation of the Holy Bible). There is no feeling quite like giving or receiving encouragement. One of the positive aspects of social networking is…

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39, Holy Bible, New King James) A multitude listened to Jesus as he sat in a boat teaching near the seaside. When evening came,…

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  (John 14:27 in the King James Version of the Holy Bible.) Jesus was giving His disciples a heads up…

“They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.” Psalm 34:5
Another translation of the Scriptures reads: “Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”
Have you ever watched someone receiving the Holy Spirit, their face just seems to glow with the presence of God? At that moment, they are completely shut in with the presence of God and are almost touching heaven. Their hearts are fully open to all that the Lord has for them, and their faces reflect His glory.
When we yield our all to Jesus, we have no reason to be ashamed. No matter what has transpired in our lives, what circumstances we have faced, when we repent and turn to Him, He forgives and He wipes it all away. We do not need to fear what others think about us. Our hearts have been cleansed by His precious blood, and He makes our face to shine with His glory.
Prayer: Lord may your glory be reflected on our faces, that others may desire to know You.
